Mark Beaty's weekend at Knockhill was a rollercoaster of emotions as he wrapped up the final rounds of the Scottish Legends Cars Championship in his number 85 car.
Kicking off on Saturday morning, Mark was the fastest on track in the first practice. However, the first race of the day brought unexpected challenges as his car faced engine troubles. A rapid engine swap kept him from participating in the second race, but against the odds, he returned for the third. In a display of skill and determination, Mark clinched an impressive 2nd place finish!
Sunday's rain brought a glimmer of hope, as Mark thrives in wet conditions, but his car struggled with power again. While he tackled the circuit’s technical sections with finesse, he found himself at a disadvantage on the straights. The day concluded on a disappointing note when a collision in the final race left his car damaged and closed the chapter on his season.
Despite the ups and downs, Mark finished a commendable 5th in a highly competitive championship. It was fantastic to see our logo proudly displayed on his car, and we look forward to supporting Beaty Motorsport next season.
Separately, Mark also runs a family-owned used car garage in Newcastle, offering an extensive selection of vehicles—from small hatchbacks to sports & performance cars and even vans & camper vans. Check out their stock at (http://www.parclanecars.co.uk).
